Deze tijdelijke vorm van\u00a0dunne ontlasting is vervelend, maar niet erg. Wanneer de diarree echter een langere periode aanhoudt, kan er gesproken worden over langdurige of chronische diarree. Het komt vaak snel opzetten en het zorgt ervoor dat er direct ontlasting moet plaatsvinden. Buikgriep of verkeerd voedsel is vaak een oorzaak voor tijdelijke diarree. De oorzaak van langdurige diarree ligt eerder bij een bacteri\u00eble infectie of virus infectie. Ook kan aanhoudende diarree bij volwassenen ontstaan na een antibioticakuur. Door de antibiotica is de darmflora in de war en kan het een tijdje duren voordat de stoelgang weer is als vanouds. Een darmtumor kan ook de oorzaak zijn van aanhoudende diarree bij ouderen en volwassen.<\/p><p>Chronische aandoeningen aan de darmen kunnen ook langdurige diarree als gevolg hebben. De ziekte van Crohn en het prikkelbaar darm syndroom zijn oorzaken voor langdurige diarree. Slecht eten en slechte leefgewoontes kunnen dit extra versterken.<\/p><p>Een gezonde leefstijl is erg belangrijk voor goede ontlasting. Slechte gewoontes zoals overmatig alcoholgebruik en roken hebben een grote invloed op de darmen, net zoals weinig bewegen en slecht eten. De darmen zijn gevoelig en kunnen hier direct op reageren in de vorm van dunne ontlasting.<\/p><p>Helaas kunnen ook mensen die gezond eten en leven last krijgen van langdurige diarree. Is iemand lichamelijk gezond, maar ervaart diegen wel langdurige diarree? Dan kan de diarree een psychosomatische klacht zijn. Blijft de diarree aanhouden? Neem dan altijd contact op met een dokter. Om de exacte oorzaak van de aanhoudende diarree te vinden is een feces onderzoek noodzakelijk.\u00a0<\/p><p>Bij ouderen kan\u00a0fecale incontinentie\u00a0ontstaan door chronische diarree. Voorkom ongemakken door de cli\u00ebnt uit voorzorg incontinentiemateriaal aan te (laten) trekken. Iedere dag douchen zorgt ervoor dat de cli\u00ebnt geen infectie oploopt door de dunne
