class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>Veel mensen denken bij de term \u2018incontinentie\u2019 alleen aan ongewild urineverlies, maar incontinentie kan ook verlies van ontlasting betekenen. Fecale incontinentie of ontlastingsincontinentie komt vooral voor bij ouderen, maar ook volwassenen en kinderen kunnen ermee te maken krijgen.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-763accc elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"763accc\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>In Nederland zijn er naar schatting ongeveer vijftigduizend tot tweehonderdduizend mensen met fecale incontinentie oftewel ontlastingsverlies. Mensen die te maken hebben met ontlastingsincontinentie, verliezen ongewild ontlasting of laten onbedoeld winden. Een groot deel hiervan heeft ook last van ongewild urineverlies, wat ook wel dubbele incontinentie wordt genoemd. Exacte cijfers over fecale incontinentie en dubbele incontinentie zijn echter niet bekend. Dit komt vooral door het grote taboe dat er nog steeds op fecale incontinentie rust, meer nog zelfs dan bij ongewild urineverlies het geval is.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-9a8895d elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"9a8895d\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Fecale incontinentie oorzaken<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-747852ed elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"747852ed\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>De meest voorkomende oorzaak van fecale incontinentie is een beschadiging of verzwakking van de anale kringspier. Fecale incontinentie ontstaat wanneer de kringspier niet goed in staat is de ontlasting op te vangen. Daarnaast kan een beschadiging van de zenuwen die de sluitspieren en bekkenbodemspieren aansturen ervoor zorgen dat de aandrang om naar het toilet te gaan ontbreekt. Vooral kinderen en (jong)volwassenen met een lichamelijke en\/of geestelijke beperking kunnen regelmatig last hebben van ontlastingsincontinentie, als gevolg van een niet goed werkende kringspier. Ook de ziekte van Chrohn kan soms gepaard gaan met ongewild ontlastingsverlies. Bij de ziekte van Crohn is sprake van een ontsteking aan de dunne darm, dikke darm en\/of endeldarm, of in sommige zelfs in het gehele spijsverteringskanaal van de mond tot aan de anus. Er kan alleen nog\u00a0dunne ontlasting\u00a0worden doorgelaten. Doordat dunne ontlasting moeilijker te controleren is, ontstaat ongewild ontlastingsverlies. Deze vorm van fecale incontinentie staat ook wel bekend als overloopdiarree of paradoxale diarree. Als obstipatie de oorzaak is kan er worden geprobeerd de klachten te verminderen door andere eetgewoontes aan te nemen. Met name het eten van voldoende vezels (o.a. granen, groente en fruit) en een minimale vochtinname van 2 liter per dag kunnen een groot verschil maken. Door daarnaast voldoende te bewegen en de tijd te nemen voor een toiletbezoek kan snel resultaat worden geboekt. Het is sowieso altijd raadzaam om een arts of specialist te raadplegen bij fecale incontinentie. Eventueel kan advies worden ingewonnen bij een bekkenbodemfysiotherapeut.<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Een beschadigde kringspier kan in sommige gevallen worden hersteld met een operatieve ingreep in het ziekenhuis door de beschadigde kringspier te herstellen middels Sfincterplastiek of een volledig nieuwe kringspier te maken door Dynamische Gracilis Plastiek toe te passen.<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Soms is het niet mogelijk om fecale incontinentie te behandelen met een operatie of medicijnen.
